The Importance of the 1858 Nihanghs' Case in Ram Temple Jurisdiction:

This case garnered attention on November 9, 2019, when the Supreme Court of India gave its verdict in favor of the Ram Lala Temple. There were many evidences produced and one of them was this which led to the judgment in favor of Ram Lala Temple.

The information of offering langar seva on 22 January during the inauguration of Shri Ram Temple is shared by Jathedar Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur. Baba Harjit Singh is the eighth descendant of the family of Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Khalsa Ji.

The SC ruling cited the report by Sheetal Dubey, the Thanedar of Oudh, in November 1858. As per the case report,

"Today Mr. Nihang Singh Fakir Khalsa, a resident of Punjab, organized Hawan and Puja of Guru Gobind Singh and erected a symbol of Sri Bhagwan, with....... the premises of the Masjid. At the time.........symbol, 25 Sikhs were posted there for security. [Sic]"

The Descendent Would Carry Forward Their Ancestor's Devotion:

The 8th generation, disciples of Jathedar Nihang Fakir Singh Khalsa, Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur said he would be carrying forward his ancestor's devotion towards Lord Ram by holding a langar in Ayodhya.

As per Baba Harjit Singh Khalsa Rasulpur Ji,

" Now when the Prana Prathishtha [Consercation] of Lord Ram is..........on January 22, 2024, how can I lag behind."

Baba Harjit Singh added that he along with Nihang Singhs will organize a langar seva in Ayodhya on January 22 and will serve devotees coming from all over the country and abroad.

Baba said he has no affiliation with any political party and is only a bearer of eternal traditions. I would face criticism while maintaining harmony between Nihangs and Sanatan Dharma because on the one hand, I am an Amritdhari Sikh but on the other hand, I wear rudrakhsa mala around my neck.
